Above:   Examining both the candle stick holder and lamp, the design similarity is obvious.  It appears both of these objects were made at least partially on a lathe, then carved and finished  by hand.  The wood of choice was walnut.  These handmade works were given to family and friends.  It is doubtful Dickerson ever offered any for sale. Dickerson-made items such as these are very rare and should be treasured by those lucky enough to own one.
